Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Angus Michael Butler announces his peaceful passing with his family by his side at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on August 25, 2023 at the age of 57 years.

Angus was born April 22, 1966 to John and Margaret Butler of Fortune Harbour, NL. On July 18, 1986 he married his high school sweetheart, Darlene, and they had 3 loving children. Angus had many jobs including carpentry with his son-in-law Bill (BerZack Construction) for many summers and his love of driving led him to Central Training Academy where he became a licensed truck driver. However, Angus' passion was fishing which he started at a young age with his brother William. He later acquired his own enterprise fishing mainly lobster and crab and for the last number of years, fished alongside his son Ryan.

Left to mourn are his wife of 37 years, Darlene; daughter, Karen (Bill); sons, Michael (Duane), Ryan (Camelia); grandchildren, Zachary, Amber, Kaylee, Brayden; sister, Mary (Shawn); niece, Melissa (Jeremy); great niece, Alyssa; great nephew and god son, Dawson; his aunt, Bridget (Stephen); uncle, John (Judy); as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be

so he put his arms around you and whispered,

"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you

and saw you pass away

and although we love you dearly

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best
