It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Anastasia Mary Matthews announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, June 6, 2024, aged 58 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is her husband, Patrick Matthews; children, Jennifer Matthews (Patrick Andrews), Theresa Haas (Chris), Travis Matthews (Natasha Furey) and Adam Matthews (Megan); grandchildren, TJ Matthews and Jansen Matthews; siblings, Dennis Dobbin (Pauline), Dave Dobbin (Monnie), Felix Dobbin (Natalie Dyer), Bernard Dobbin (Rachel), Florissa Dobbin (Steve Guitard), and Betty-Lou Dobbin (Michael Matthews); siblings-in-law, Gerald Matthews (Leonie), Barry Matthews (Carmelita), Loyola Matthews (Cordella Dyer), Steve Matthews (Leanne), Rose Matthews and Bernadette O'Driscoll (Michael), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Anastasia is predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Theresa Dobbin; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Nora Matthews; siblings-in-law, Aloysius Matthews, Anthony Matthews and Ignatius Matthews.

A special thank you to the hospital staff in Baie Verte for their constant care.

Public visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 2-8 pm.

Cremation has taken place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Harbour Round, NL on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 2 pm.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anastasia's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society DONATE HERE , or to Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Harbour Round, NL.
