It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ambrose William Downey announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 83 years.

Ambrose leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Ida; son, Rodney; daughter, Shelley (John); grandchildren, Christopher (Kim), Taylor; great grandchildren, Donovan, Dylan; siblings, Edward (Barbara), Raymond (Judy), John (Patricia), William, Michael (Tammy), Leonard (Barbara), David (Claire), Olivera (Edgar) Breen, Patricia (Manuel) Madieros, Anne (Stephen) Courtney; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Ambrose is predeceased by his parents, John & Monica Downey; siblings, Mark (Clara), Mary (Jim) Chambers, Bernice (Patrick) Kelly & Cecilia (Irwin) Haberstock.

All services will remain private to the family. Public services will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
