It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alphonsus Arthur Ballard announces his passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 75 years.

Alphonsus leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers, Tony (Joanne), John (Marielle), Jerome; sisters, Linda (Mike) Bullis, Debbie (Jim) Butler; brothers-in-law, John Rideout, Russell Maysfield, Lorne Ward; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & friends.

Alphonsus is predeceased by his parents, Anthony & Laura Ballard; brothers, Billy, Eugene; sisters, Sheila, Teresa, Carol Anne; sister-in-law, Karen.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Valley Vista Senior Citizens Complex, & the Lionel Kelland Hospice for the excellent care. Also, many thanks to his homecare workers from Provincial Homecare who went above and beyond for his care.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday,  November 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
