Passed away quietly on January 7, 2020 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, surrounded by her loving husband, son, and daughter, our beloved Alice "Marie" Callahan of Grand Falls-Windsor at the age of 78.

Pre-deceased by her parents Cecil and Alice Small (Corbin) of Grand Falls-Windsor, in-laws William and Rita Callahan of Buchans and son-in-law Phil LeBlanc of Yarmouth, NS and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Leaving to mourn is her love of over 53 years Harvey Callahan, her son Rodney(Charlene) of Miramichi, NB, her daughter Deidre LeBlanc of Grand Falls-Windsor, her brother Roy Small of Grand Falls-Windsor, brother-in-laws Russell (Judy) of St. John's, Herman (Joyce) of Bonavista, Bill and sister-in-law Sandra (Danny) of Gatineau, PQ. nieces, nephews, her friends and neighbours Glen and Shirley Fewer.

Marie was born in Bishop's Falls but moved to Windsor at a young age. Once finished school she worked at George Stewart's till meeting her loving husband Harvey and starting a life filled with love and laughter. After living from St. John's to Port aux Choix and points in between and after spending many years in Yarmouth N.S., she moved back to Grand Falls-Windsor with her husband Harvey and ran the Sears Canada store for close to 24 years.

After retiring, Marie and her husband Harvey would spend their summers travelling and camping all over their beautiful province of Newfoundland, from the small fishing villages to the big towns. Marie's most recent summers were spent with her husband at their camper on Red Indian Lake, where laughter, love and amazing times were had.

Marie may have been tiny at 4"11, living up to her maiden name of Small, and she may have been quiet in voice, but she was fierce, she was strong, she was loving and she was kind. She gave to those in need and did not ask for anything in return, she had faith in the Lord and she believed in family.

She will be greatly missed by those who loved her both friends and family. Till we see each other again.

As per her request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.  Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life at a later date.

Donations can be in her memory to the Canadian Parkinson's Foundation.
