It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Albert George Rice announces his passing, Albert passed away from the Valley Vista Senior Citizens' Home, Springdale, NL on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 79 years.

Left to mourn a lifetime of memories is his wife of 50 years, Joan Rice (Furey), Springdale, NL; children, Dorothy Hurley (Brian), Seal Cove, NL, Patricia Rice (Robert Gillingham), Seal Cove, NL, Nancy Keats (Brian), Hamilton, ON and Bert Rice (Claudia Ford), Grande Cache, AB; grandchildren, Alicia Hayward (Ryan), Lacey Mitchell (Cody), Cheryl Gillingham, Robyn Gillingham (Adam Clarke), Dion Gillingham, Jessica Keats (Emile Robinson) and Erica Keats (Justin Elliott); great-grandchildren, Van, Sadie, Nathan, Autumn, Brooklyn, Paisley and Keegan; special family members, Eric Sheppard, Courtney (Shawn), Eric Jr., Rebecca and Dawson; siblings, Ernest Rice, Anita Rice, Pleman Rice (Laura), Joan Banks and Bart Rice (Linda); brother-in-law - Auguste Fitzgerald, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Albert is predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Winnifred Rice; siblings, Wilfred Rice and Gordon Rice; parents-in-law, Dorothy Fitzgerald (Furey) and Bertram Elliott; siblings-in-law, Sidney Rice, Carmel Downey and Edmund Banks.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
