It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Albert George Eveleigh announces his passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Aged 81 years.

Albert was predeceased by his Parents, Herbert and Mae Eveleigh, Parents-in-Law, Sidney and Elizabeth Robinson, Brothers, Edward, Hedley, Leaman (Susie), Sisters, Minnie Nash (Walter), Eleanor, and Son-in-Law, Wayne Lozinski.

He leaves behind with loving and everlasting memories, his wife of 60 years, Marion, his Son, Aubrey Eveleigh (Audrey) Humber Valley Resort, NL, his Daughters, Jackie Pinksen (Terry) Seal Cove, NL, Lori Eveleigh-Lozinski, Winnipeg, MB, Treena Pinksen (Jeff), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Grandchildren, Kimberly Boileau (Patrick), Jonathan Pinksen (Terri-Lynn), Jillian Pinksen (Sherman), Brooke Besaw (Jesse), Matthew Pinksen, and Rebecca Eveleigh, Great Grandchildren, Kaden Pinksen, Oliver Boileau, Nash McKay, and Colin Boileau, Siblings, Edna McLean (Al), Jessie Musseau (Alex), Siblings -in-Law, Melvina Eveleigh, Shirley Eveleigh, Eric Robinson (Marcie), Linda Pinksen (Wallace), Norma Robinson (Wilson), Peter Robinson (Loretta), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dad was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed being on the ocean or at the ponds fishing.  He enthusiastically offered to take anyone who showed interest out in his boat to fish for cod or to enjoy the scenery, whether you were family, friends or strangers.  Many hours were spent in the woods picking berries, cutting firewood and enjoying a boil up, always with a friend.  It truly didn't matter as long as he was busy. When the weather allowed, dad took time to meticulously maintain his garden and property which gave him many hours of enjoyment.

Dad's work took him to many places.  The most interesting experience was his trip to Trinidad where, in true fashion, he made many friends, plus, he loved the hot weather.  He spent many years in the mining/exploration industry but especially enjoyed the summers he spent in Thunder Bay working with his son, Aubrey.

Family was most important to Dad and he was happiest when we were all near him.  Whether it was a small or large family gathering, he enjoyed every second.  We spent many summer days enjoying our seafood feasts (carefully and lovingly prepared by him), followed by a campfire and tunes playing on his 8-track.  It was an unspoken invitation, that, if smoke was coming from the shed chimney, all were welcome. Dad taught us many life lessons over the years – a strong work ethic, how to treat others, what matters most, and how to live life to its fullest.  He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses from Baie Verte, Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor and St. John's.  He was treated with care and dignity always, especially by the staff at Lionel Kelland Hospice who truly respected him during his last days.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 29 at 11:00am, St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, White Bay.
